How to find your life purpose in 15 minutes...

What's my purpose?

I don't have a passion.

What do I say when people ask me what I do for a living?

The most interesting people in the world have passion and purpose. They are going somewhere and that’s really intriguing. They are also happy.

However, it’s hard to know our purpose. Sometimes we weren't raised to follow our dreams or we were lead to believe certain jobs or life situations would give us meaning and fulfillment. Maybe we had a dream and it’s time for a new one.

Why is this on a dating blog?

It’s so important and dating and relationships to have your own vision of your life. Your own purpose and passion. You need to know who you are.

Not only is it attractive to guys but it also sustains attraction in long term relationships. So many time we just meld into our partners and lose our identity. At first the guy may be flattered you enjoy his preferences, friends, and hobbies, but the more you lose your identity, the more a psychologically healthy guy will lose attraction for you.

As an added bonus and side note, having purpose and passion will also make you a better mother.

You don’t need a purpose that involves you going overseas to feed starving children. You don’t even need one that will become your career or make you money. You don't need to go back to school. You need something that you enjoy and that brings light to others.

You can go to a career counselor or take personality quizzes online to discover your purpose.

So what would you teach someone?

What do people come to you for advice on?

I want to add that some of the best teachers are rarely the masters or experts on their subject. Have you ever showed your mom how to do something on a computer? You aren’t a computer wiz but you could show her what she needed to know. So don’t worry if you aren’t the best make up artist, parent, singer, or runner.

If you don’t think you are good at anything, think outside the box. Are you good at dealing with difficult family members? Do you know how to stalk people online? Do you know the latest celebrity gossip? Do you have a ton of Pinterest followers? Can you convince people to do anything?

All of these things seem inconsequential but they really could lead to a deeper passion and purpose.

Have you ever wanted to start your own business?

Are you stuck and don't know what to do next?

Do you have multiple passions?
